Travel around the most beautiful parts of the Lake District on horse-back on this wonderful 6 day trail ride in a quiet part of Western Cumbria.

Accommodation is at local B&Bs and Inns along the way, all bursting with character & some with picture postcard views. The terrain changes on a daily basis as the ride climbs the fells and drops down into valleys, taking in some of the most secluded parts of the Lake District.

Trek across the fells admiring the fantastic views and gallop along the stretches of isolated sandy beaches in this exquisite location.

Saturday:    

Arrive at B&B in Silecroft. Collection can be arranged from Silecroft or Millom train station if necessary. Evening meal in local pub.

Sunday:        

Short assessment lesson in the arena. Picnic lunch and then it's off to the beach to blow away the cobwebs before riding inland towards the Blackcombe Fell.

Monday:      

Depart the hotel and ride around the base of Blackcombe before crossing over onto Bootle Fell. Picnic for lunch.

Tuesday:     

An exciting ride over the Walna Scar trail into Coniston to admire the fabulous views.  Lunch at a local Inn before picking up the tracks and bridleways to the picturesque Langdale Valley.

Wednesday:

A ride from Langdale over the fells past Blea Tarn and back into Little Langdale.  There's a brief stop to look at the amazing Cathedral Quarries before lunch in Coniston. Then it's back over the fells to Seathwaite.

Thursday:   

Riding over the Dunnerdale Fells into Ulpha which boasts fantastic views. After a picnic lunch we ride on over Thwaites Fell and back to the stables.

Friday:      

A wonderful day of beach and fell riding where you can round the week off with  fabulous gallops along a five mile stretch of isolated, sandy beach. A picnic or pub lunch during the day.

Saturday:  

Departure day. Transport can be provided to Silecroft or Millom train station.
